Wood bat league is taking signups for graduated high school seniors on up to age 27 who have played college ball, but not professional ball. The league will play 30 games from June 12 to August 1, and there will be 6-8 teams for the second season of the league. For more information, call 322-0998 or 484-6860.

THE BOISE SUMMER LEAGUE IS HORRENDOUS..I AM CURRENTLY PLAYING IN IT AS I SIT HERE WRITING THIS..
THE UMPIRING IS HORRIBLE..REALLY REALLY HORRIBLE
THE LEVEL OF PLAY IS NOT COMPETITIVE AT ALL
THE LEAGUE RULES OF ALLOWING PLAYERS UP TO THE AGE OF 27 TO PLAY ARE RIDICULOUS BECAUSE KIDS IN THIS SUPPOSED "ENHANCED BASEBALL EXPERIENCE" LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE
NO ATHLETICS TRAINERS ON HAND
NO ICE AT AT LEAST 2 OF THE LOCATIONS FOR PITCHERS TO ICE THEIR ARMS HAS LED TO SEVERAL INJURIES
MEAL PLAN IS A WASTE OF $600
THE LEAGUE IS NOT PLAYED IN BOISE AND THE TOWNS WHERE GAMES ARE PLAYED AND PEOPLE ARE HOUSED (MERIDIAN, NAMPA, CALDWELL, EAGLE) OFFER NO FUN AND DRIVING TO GAMES AND PRACTICES ARE NOT COMPENSATED WITH GAS MONEY OF ANY KIND WHICH PUTS A DENT IN YOUR WALLET
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SUMMER HERE!!!!!!!!

While the Boise Summer League realizes that the organization can not make every ballplayer happy, the league does addresses the player's concerns. For 2009 BSL has adjusted it's league to address concerns mentioned by Dale. Please visit www.bslbaseball.com to see changes.
